This is a Broadway Limited 2200 HO Scale Painted, Unlettered Baldwin 3800 Class Modernized 2-10-2 Steam Locomotive & Tender with Sound & DCC – Paragon2 (black). Baldwin’s 3800 Class 2-10-2s were the largest on the railroad. The late 1940s to 50s modernized version engines are distinguished by the modified cab, raised running boards, drifting valve gear and LFM disc main driver. These models feature modernized version detailing, plastic loco and tender bodies with die cast chassis, precision drive mechanism, 5-pole can motor with skew-wound armature, integral DCC decoder with back EMF, variable Puffing Smoke and Paragon2 Sound and control system.
