This is a Broadway Limited 2196 HO Scale Santa Fe 2-10-2 Steam Locomotive and Tender – Sound & DCC – Paragon2 #3866 (Modernized Version).Baldwin’s 3800 Class 2-10-2s were the largest on the railroad. The late 1940s to 50s modernized version engines are distinguished by the modified cab, raised running boards, drifting valve gear and LFM disc main driver. These models feature modernized version detailing, plastic loco and tender bodies with die cast chassis, precision drive mechanism, 5-pole can motor with skew-wound armature, integral DCC decoder with back EMF, variable Puffing Smoke and Paragon2 Sound and control system.
